Jangan pernah anggap remeh Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) yang dulu dikenal dengan sebutan TKI. Tahun lalu, tabungan tertinggi dari Korea Selatan sebesar Rp 770 juta.

Demikian disampaikan GM BNI Seoul, Wan Andi A, Senin (1/1/2018). Selama setahun, ia berhasil menghimpun tabungan 3100 pekerja dengan nominal Rp 43,5 miliar.

“Kiriman uang lewat BNI Seoul rata-rata 2500 slip per bulan. Nasabah penabung tertinggi berasal dari daerah Jawa Barat dengan saldo mencapai Rp 770 juta rupiah,” ujar Wan Andi dalam keterangan yang dirilis KBRI Seoul.

Sudah bukan rahasia lagi PMI di Korsel memang mendapatkan gaji yang sama dengan warga setempat atau kisaran Rp 15 juta.

Selain itu, tingkat lemburannya juga banyak sehingga per bulan bisa meraup antara Rp 20-30 juta. Belum lagi tempat tinggal gratis dan makan dua kali ditanggung perusahaan.

“Dalam kalkulasi sederhana saya, setiap bulan mereka mampu menyisihkan uang rata-rata Rp 15 juta. Nah, kalau mereka di sini 4 tahun 10 bulan, silakan kalikan sendiri,” ia menambahkan.

Keberadaan BNI di Seoul antara lain untuk menjembatani para pekerja berkantung tebal tersebut.

Aktivitas BNI terkait pekerja Indonesia antara lain bekerjasama dengan KBRI dalam kegiatan pemberdayaan dan pemberian beasiswa bagi TKI yg melanjutkan studi di Universitas Terbuka (UT).

BNI juga bersinergi dengan Garuda Indonesia sehingga setiap pemegang kartu membership BNI Seoul yang terbang dengan Garuda dari Korea Selatan mendapatkan tambahan benefit bagasi 10 kilogram.

Selama beroperasi hampir dua tahun, performana BNI Seoul cukup yahud. Profit tahun lalu sebanyak KRW 2.075 miliar Won atau setara USD 1,95 juta (Rp 26 miliar). Sedangkan asetnya kini meroket menjadi KRW 309 miliar atau USD 290 juta.

“Pada tahun 2018, BNI Seoul akan mulai fokus pada Indonesia related business, khususnya pembiayaan transaksi perdagangan atau perdagangan antara Korea dan Indonesia,” ujar Andi. | Tribunnews
